The end of summer is nearing and fall will soon take center stage. Whether you’re ready or not, the new season will require your closet to make a seasonal overhaul to include the best fall essentials. In other words, shopping for fall should be underway. And what better fall essential to add to your wardrobe than a collection of sweaters as the weather begins to switch from warm to cooler temps.

Looking for sweaters can be made easy when opting for those sweater styles that compliment you and offers comfortability all in one. There are now a plethora of sweater styles to choose from that cater to every shape and style. Making sweaters more universally appealing to all shapes and sizes.

On this post we’ll talk fall sweaters for your curves and the best fit that will offer a love match between your body shape, personality and style.

Sweater Dress Styles for Curvy WomenCredit: Plus Look

The Sweater Dress
Sweater dresses are effortless, functional and easy to wear. Its versatility allows you to wear it many ways and at most, comfortably preferred. You can dress it up with or without leggings while pairing it with statement jewelry and knee-high boots. As a casual look you can dress it with or without jeans, a cute hat, tennis shoes or edgy boots. To play up those curves add a belt to flatter your figure.

The Twist Front Knit Sweater
The twist front knit sweater is the perfect statement sweater. Adding a little something more, it draws the attention to the waistline giving you an hourglass silhouette. No need to wear a necklace as the twist knot accessorizes the sweater all on its own. Wear it with your favorite high-waist pants or skirt for a chic finish. It’s the perfect sweater that will take you from sun up to sun down.

The Tiered Ruffled Sleeve Sweater
The tiered sleeve trend won’t be ending anytime soon so why not take the trend into fall with a sweater look. A tiered ruffled sleeve sweater makes it easy to play dress up with its voluminous elegance detailed on the arms. It helps draw the attention away from those flawed areas and right to your arms. And if you’re not a fan of your arms, it’s the perfect camouflage.

The Cold Shoulder Sweater
Love that the cold shoulder trend not only exists in the warmer temp seasons, but the cold seasons too. It’s the perfect transition from summer to fall. The cold shoulder is a blend of comfortable yet sexy vibes. If you love your shoulders, than you’ll love the way they’d look in the cold shoulder sweater. Focus on the sweater texture, print and color so that it caters to your personal style. It can also double as a night out top or as a casual top.

Choose a neckline that will best fit your body shape. Wearing a V or deep V neckline with a large chest is idea for a well-balanced look. For a small chest preferably, a crew or scoop neckline to accentuate your bust to appear larger. The idea is for your size to look more proportionate in appearance. With turtleneck sweaters you must choose wisely and be fashionably careful to not wear a form fitted one if your chest is large or loose if you have a small chest. You don’t want to appear larger or smaller than you really are.

Solid Colors v. Patterns
Selecting solid colors over patterns will less likely add pounds to your look. Be careful to not choose large patterns that over emphasize your figure. Smaller patterns are a more flattering to your figure and size. Solid colors provide a more slimming look. Wear colors that best complement your skin tone.

Beauty Grooming

July 10, 2018

Being well groomed benefits you personally and professionally. Your exterior is a reflection of how much you value and care for yourself. How you present yourself influences the opportunities and the people you attract. And it’s a great indication of how well you manage life around you. There are certain beauty grooming areas that are vital to your appearance that doesn’t require any pressure, but a little extra attention to the untended. Managing your appearance will help boost your confidence and esteem.

Let’s state the obvious factors of our appearance, which are most times neglected beauty grooming enhancers. They are the first that people notice and what you will receive the most up front compliments on. “Your nails are pretty”, “you have beautiful skin”, “love how your hair looks”, “you smell amazing”, are just some of what people acknowledge about an upkept appearance. People are quick to admire the way a person looks, smells and feels (and will remember you for it too).

(Say yes to nail hygiene with healthier looking hands and feet)

Let’s start with how important it is to practice good nail hygiene. It’s said that you can tell a lot about a man through his shoes. I’d like to believe that you can tell a lot about a woman through her nails. Ladies, how you keep them groomed is important. Keeping them regularly trimmed, shaped, cuticles cut, clean, moisturized and polished is a for sure way to having healthier looking nails. For my non-color polish wearers, a protective layer of clear polish will keep your nails strengthened. All around proper nail care is the way to go.

(Keep your tresses styled and maintained)

Your hair makes or breaks your entire look. Nothing compares to the way your outfit looks when your hair is done. Even your confidence level sky rockets because when you look good, you feel even better. As your hair complements your features, it enhances your beauty (choose the styles that best fits the shape and color of your face). That’s why it’s important to always keep your hair styled and maintained.

A bad hair day negatively impacts your day and outfit, increasing self-doubt. According to a study, people with a good hair style feel more capable at performing tasks as opposed to those having a bad hair day.

Rule of thumb for taking care of your tresses:

What you put on your hair can and will affect it. Think of your hair like your skin. Choose the best products and hair routines that will help you maintain healthier looking hair.

(Smell attractive and boost your mood)

Smelling good is always a good idea. It’s a mood booster because the smell of perfume can be therapeutic, and it gives a great scent of your personality. Wearing fragrances that gel well with your body chemistry is key. Think of it as just another accessory that enhances your outfit and personality. The best spots to apply a scent are the places your heart rate can be felt. These are the pulse points on your body. Fragrance is something that we all can enjoy. But remember, less is more (so go easy on the amount of perfume you apply). You don’t want your scent to be overwhelmingly noticeable.

(Enhancing your natural beauty)

Your face projects the very essence of you, your feelings and expressions through your eyes and lips. Remembering that your face is where people look when they want to get to know you is reason enough you’d want to apply makeup. It’s not to take away from your natural beauty but enhance and radiate your facial features. If you prefer a low maintenance makeup application, adding some concealer, shaping your eye brows, lipstick and mascara will do the trick. To draw attention to one of the most visible places of all besides your eyes, are your lips. Throw a complementary lip color (preference of lipstick, lip stain or lip gloss) on your pout. If you love a full face of makeup, include some foundation (or contouring) and noticeable eyeshadow to give your face and eyes the pop it needs.

Manage Your Attire
(Style yourself confident)

The goal is to look like you have your life together. Never let your wardrobe suffer. Your self-esteem depends on you to look your best. Wearing styles that complement your personality and body type will give you just the confidence you need.

Each component of your look should match well with the other. Look for styles that make you feel comfortable and effortless. These wardrobe styles you choose should show off your best assets while downplaying your flaws. Do this and your look will meet the eye. Including yours in the mirror.

Remember that confidence comes from within and beauty grooming brings life
to it.

A Curvy Woman’s Guide To Dressing

June 10, 2018

Fashion is more than just throwing items of clothing together. It means the ability to be versatile and self-expressive. The experience you get from fashion is one of the most self-empowering feelings ever. The feeling of you being able to pour your feelings from the inside out in your style choices. Most recent in fashion trends, clothing brands and designers are designing outfits that complement and cater to the personal style of curvy women. The clothing made in the past did not embrace every woman in that way. And now there is a design for every woman no matter her body shape.

Fortunately, more fashion designers have adapted to the idea that even a curvy woman can take the fashion world by storm. Fashion designers like Antthony Designs, and other brands like Christian Siriano, now cater to the fashion desires of curvy women. From crop tops, gowns, miniskirts, and fitted jeans, curvy women can look effortlessly fashionable and chic without trying. With the presence of beautiful curvy women like Ashley Graham on today’s fashion runways, more curvy women all over the world recognize that they too fit into the new ideas of what is beautiful in fashion.

If you’re a curvy woman and would like to try out new styles, here are a few tips that could help you dress effortlessly for the beauty in you.

Pick Out the Right Fit That Complements Your Shape

One thing to keep in mind when dressing is that it’s important to dress your size. Sure, crop tops and high waisted pants look good, but you need to find the right fit that works best for you. It is also advisable to purchase good shapewear and bras. This will not only make the fit of the clothing beautiful but will also ensure your comfortability.

Don’t Be Afraid To Show Some Skin

You should be unafraid to show off your best assets. After all, that’s what is unique about you. If you have killer legs, then wear a short skirt or gown to show it off. You have shoulders that are to die for, then show them off by adorning yourself with an off the shoulder or one shoulder dress.

Rock Out Your Look in Prints and Patterns

From stripes, animal prints, polka dots, florals and more, you have the chance to show the world the fun side of you. You could wear pattern and print pieces in areas you want to accentuate. A plain colored blouse with a pattern/print skirt or pants if you have nice hips and backside. Another fun way to style in patterns is by wearing them together for a fun mix of coordinating and making a look your own.

Dress Appropriately for The Right Occasion

The way we dress is important to our everyday lives. It determines how people perceive us which is why we need to choose styles that best suit who we are. Wearing the right outfit at the right time is equally important and shouldn’t be ignored. Just as you would opt for a formal gown or ensemble for a wedding or special ceremony, be sure that your day wear is just as appropriate for office or a night on the town. What’s great is that both scenarios can be pulled off with colorful outfits and great style. Be sure to incorporate the right accessories like jewelry, shoes, and a purse where needed, to polish and finish off your look.
Hint: Less is more so don’t overdo it but do what fits you.

Try Out Different Styles

A great way to get your best style is by exploring different types of styles. Of course, you do not need to buy a whole wardrobe of several different style outfits.

However, trying different styles of clothing beforehand will help you decide which styles you’re more comfortable in. You could try elegant and flawless, bold and daring or edgy chic. Style inspo from your favorite style icon(s) can also help you create the look that best complements you.

With these tips, be rest assured that you will turn heads all year long while looking fashionably you.

Blouses that look fabulous with a pair of basic black pants!

December 21, 2016

When it comes to office style, a pair of black trousers will always be a wardrobe staple. They are classic and simple and look fabulous when worn with a great pair shoes, a great bag, a watch, or the right jewelry. Black is one of the easiest colors to match. No matter how many times you’ve worn them, you can instantly change up the look by putting on a new top.

Bright jeweled tone blouses look best. Colors such as ruby red, sapphire blue and emerald green really stand out and look super sophisticated. Stay away from wearing a pastel shirt with a pair of black pants. Pastels are subdued and black pants tend to wash out the color.

Patterned tops create instant visual interest, making them an easy way to add drama to an outfit. They add punch to a look when a solid feels blah. Bold patterned shirts really pop if your pants are basic and in need of some fashion umph.

Have you taken a shine to metallic for the holiday season? Same here. Don’t be afraid to go casual with metallic tops. They can elevate a weekend look without making you look like you tried too hard. And don’t limit yourself to gold and silver. Primary colors come in metallic sheens too, plus there is always copper and bronze! Get merry and bright in these glitzy looks.

Finding the perfect pair of black pants can be as difficult as shopping for a good pair of jeans. There are so many brands and silhouettes to choose from and you need to find the right fit for your frame. Don’t be afraid to try on multiple styles until you find the one that is right for you. Then, when you do, drop some extra cash. These are wardrobe power players that can be re-worn and restyled time and time again.

Skinny Jeans – A skinny leg trouser is ultra flattering, not matter your size. It masks any unwanted weight by pulling everything in, but make sure they aren’t too tight, both for comfort and because you don’t want to create unwanted muffin tops!

High Waist – These trousers accentuate your waist and shows off your backside. Try them on to make sure there is a little room. The eye should flow from the waist to the hem. These are great for a button-front blouse to wear to the office.

Straight Leg – This is an everyday pant that is ideal for work or the weekends. The tapered leg pairs equally well with pumps, sandals, sneakers and flats. Choose a pair with a close fit, but again, no too tight. The hem should hit just above or below the ankle.

Wide Leg – This cut shows off your shape by elongating your legs and accentuating your waist. Find a pair that just grazes the ground when you are wearing heels. You may need to have these pants tailored to ensure a custom fit.

You work hard, so every now and then give yourself a reward to help you feel rejuvenated and look as good on the outside as you feel inside. Treat yourself to a new blouse or pair of timeless trousers that flatters your figure and enjoy the compliments that follow.

If you haven’t already finished your holiday shopping, go online to HSN.com or www.AntthonyOriginals.com to find my Anthony designs online anytime 24/7. Each of them come in petite, missy and plus sizes, so there is something for every woman.

Glam up your look this holiday!

December 7, 2016

The holiday season is underway and many women have already put up their decorations and started gift shopping. Remember amid the traditional celebration preparation to take some time out for you. Tis the season for gorgeous fashions, hair, makeup and nail art, and holiday parties are the perfect time to be a little extra festive — especially when it comes to your style. Whether you’re headed to an office get-together or a black-tie ball, it’s time to dust off your sparkly dress and glam up your beauty routine!

Here’s to 22 more years being part of your lives and wardrobes!

There’s a reason we love tinsel on Christmas trees and strings of lights around our homes: They make everything glow. The same is true for highlighting makeup. Sweep a glittering powder over your cheekbones, below your brow bone and on the inner corner of your eyes for a little shimmer this season.

Chocolate not only is the yummiest treat of the season but also a sweet alternative to red lipstick. Try some matte browns for a more sophisticated look or reach for lipstick with mauve or reddish undertones. It will take your holiday glam up a notch!

You can do red and green eye shadow and not be mistaken for one of Santa’s elves. Add in a bit of metallic pencil for a more dramatic holiday look. When it comes to shimmer, just be careful not to overdo it. A little shine is more than welcome, but there is a fine line between bold and vulgar.

Are you looking for something simple to do to get you in the Christmas spirit? Try this fancy holiday manicure idea to dress up your nails. Not only is it festive and glittery, but it will match a variety of outfits for full season wear. Every time you use your hands you’ll be reminded of the season.

Maybe you want some nail art that will last into winter. An enhanced French manicure with glitter tips and snowflake designs is perfect. This is a subtle look that hints to the season in a sophisticated way!

Holiday hair doesn’t have to involve sparkly pins and headbands, but that can be half the fun. For a quick shopping trip or ugly sweater cocktail hour, try a simple ribbon to hint to the holidays.

For a more formal affair, try adding some bling to really get into the spirit of the party. From braids to curls to pretty twists, have fun and try a different hairstyle for each of the holiday parties you attend this year!

Spectacular holiday sweets you can make in minutes!

December 2, 2016

Whether you are getting ready for a cookie exchange, putting together gifts for friends, neighbors or co-workers, or just setting out snacks for holiday entertaining, there is something really special about homemade treats and snacks for the holidays.

However, creating these temptations doesn’t have to take up all of your valuable time. After all, the holidays are about spending time with your friends and family — not slaving away in the kitchen all day.

Strawberry Santas
It doesn’t get much sweeter than these adorable strawberry Santas made with cream cheese frosting. They are sure to put a smile on everyone’s face this holiday season, and take less than 20 minutes to prepare.

Pumpkin Pie Bars
It’s the season of pumpkin everything, and these bars are the perfect dessert for potlucks and parties! They have all of the spice and warmth of classic pumpkin pie, but come in small bite size servings. They are a nice break from the endless sugar cookies found this season.

Peppermint Bark
This is one of the quickest and most delicious holiday candies you can make. Not only does it look pretty, but also is absolutely delicious. Make it for a holiday gift giving, or for some festive snacking, in your favorite holiday shape.

Raspberry Truffles
These simple 5-ingredient truffles will make your mouth water and are as easy to make, as they look beautiful. The wonderfully rich flavors of deep chocolate and luscious raspberries are the perfect holiday combination for some natural sweetness.

Fat Mints
If you’re going to eat cookies during the holidays, make sure they are Santa-worthy! These mint sandwiches are so good; they are basically a gift in themselves. They will be a hit at your holiday party and are a fun twist for a winter treat.

Peppermint Eggnog
This minty, pink and beautiful drink is the perfect Christmas mocktail for kids and adults. It so sweet, it is almost more of a dessert than a beverage. It is a delicious twist on a classic holiday drink, plus you don’t need to blow on it to cool it down first.

It’s time to deck your halls, in style!

November 23, 2016

Whether you live in a small space or a large home, go big with the seasonal cheer this year. Festive decorations get everyone into the holiday spirit and you’ll find yourself feeling a little extra comfort and joy when you are surrounded with style. Whether you are a traditionalist, a minimalist, or an over-the-top mismatched decorator, you can capture the magic of the holiday with rich colors, glittering lights, and simple statement pieces that perfectly reflect you.

Add some color to your tabletop by displaying your prettiest ornaments where people can see them. Putting small bulbs in a glass vase looks festive and fun, and you can start a new tradition where guests add an ornament or two to your tree before they leave.

An easy decor upgrade is to swap out your normal throw pillows for holiday-themed ones. Or use your special DIY skills to wrap them in a beautiful ribbon to add a festive flair. Your room will feel fresh and you’ll be ready to celebrate in style.

It may be easy to overlook bookcases, but with a roll or two of wrapping paper, your room can get a graphic jolt. Cover your hardbacks with affordable gift-wrap to match your holiday decorations. It’s a small project that will bring the holiday to all corners of the room.

Get cheery with your entryway and be welcomed by holiday charm every time you come home. A wreath and ribbon has just enough foliage to transform your room and usher in the season. This is especially great for the minimalist decorator.

Make your wrapping paper the decor. You took the time to make a lovely package for the special person in your life, so why not use that beauty in your home until it is time to give them away? Place them under the tree or in a wicker basket and your space will get an instant holiday vibe.

Paper Trees
We all have pretty scraps of paper laying around that we keep for special projects. Turn those bits of paper into dainty, paper trees. Let your crafty side free and decorate hallways, doorknobs or windows with these fun, holiday origami creations.

Last but not least, be sure to fill your home with holiday aromas for a winter wonderland for your nose. Oranges and cranberries simmering on the stove is great, or you can buy cinnamon scented pine cones to place near the fireplace. Let the smells of the season fill your home this year.

Celebrity Stylists – meet their glam team!

November 16, 2016

The life of a celebrity stylist sounds glamorous: fancy parties, an endless stream of brand name samples, hobnobbing with some of the most fascinating women in Hollywood, and being on the forefront of fashion trends. Sure, top stylists can earn in the high three-figures for a day of work during the awards show season, but the pressure to get it right is enormous.

As a stylist, you have to both be ahead of the curve and perennially focused on the next red carpet to be successful. Not to mention, actresses have strong opinions, insecurities and colorful personalities, just like any woman. Those are a few of the considerations that come into play when celebrity stylists start creating a look for their public appearances. It takes a keen eye for fashion, a passion for creativity, and a relentless work ethic to be a celebrity stylist.

Elizabeth Stewart

Clients: Cate Blanchett, Viola Davis, Jessica Chastain, Julia Roberts, Amanda Seyfried

Elizabeth is best known for her high-concept shoots that bring together the glitz and glamor of Hollywood stars with the creativity and imagination of fashion editorials.

Erin Walsh

Clients: Sarah Jessica Parker, Kerry Washington, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Kristen Wiig

Walsh has a knack for finding the delicate balance in contradiction (what she calls the “odd bird” looks) that keeps her clients ahead of the curve and is constantly bringing an element of surprise.

Leslie Fremar

Clients: Julianne Moore, Charlize Theron, Reese Witherspoon, and Scarlett Johansson

Fremar is known for her sophisticated, discerning and impeccable eye. Her work is recognizable because it’s always very clean and sharp. For her, fashion is art.

Kate Young

Clients: Selena Gomez, Dakota Johnson, Sienna Miller, Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams

Young’s approach to celebrity styling is to put the wearer’s needs first – make everyone look like themselves. Her looks are clean, cool and collected and comfort is always in mind.

Micaela Erlanger

Clients: Lupita Nyong’o, Jared Leto, John Boyega, Hilary Swank

A self-proclaimed “vintage-a-holic, and glamour girl,” the hallmark of Micaela’s work is her meticulous attention to detail and mix of beauty and whimsy.

Petra Flannery

Clients: Lupita Nyong’o, Jared Leto, John Boyega, Hilary Swank

Clients: Daisy Ridley, Emma Stone, Zoe Saldana, Amy Adams, Gwen Stefani, Carey Mulligan

Flannery approach is straightforward and open, but her reputation is for her playful choices with a fashion edge. She’s best known for her bold statement ensembles.

Celebrity fashion stylists are responsible for forecasting trends, identifying designers, and understanding clothing design and textiles. A typical week may consist of selecting the clothing for editorial features, advertising campaigns, music videos, concert performances, or any public appearance for their clients.

Take some courses in fashion design. Look for classes that cover topics including fashion forecasting, clothing and accessory design, color theory and business practices. These courses teach important career skills, such as researching design styles, blending fashions, selecting fabrics, and marketing new looks.

Get some industry experience. Most professionals in the fashion design industry learn about the business through internships or entry-level positions with professional stylists, designers, or fashion retailers. This real-world training is invaluable in networking with other industry professionals and learning the skills necessary to be successful.

Build a portfolio. Portfolios are used as a way to impress and attract potential clients. Celebrity stylist portfolios include pictures of past clients, but you can also collect some of your favorite online social looks that you put together for yourself and friends. The key is to show your style and highlight your talent, in whichever way makes most sense for you.

Keep up with style trends. The celebrity fashion industry is highly influenced by changes in the economy, politics and technology, and celebrity stylists must stay on top of these changing trends to dress clients in the latest styles. Conduct research, go out on the town, shop, and always be bold and forward in your thinking and how you dress.

And don’t forget, stylists have help. Other industry professionals are on-hand to handle hair, makeup, skincare and nutrition. Each are all essential to a celebrity looking their best. Together, the glam team and the stylists, bring a look to life that will be talked about for years to come.

Pamper Yourself Today – You Deserve It!

November 9, 2016

Every now and then, don’t you want to escape from your daily routine and the busyness of everyday life? If your day consists of crazy deadlines, a cranky boss, and a mind-numbing commute, you probably feel run down, stressed out, depleted, or like you need a kick-start to reinvigorate your senses. In order to get your life back in balance, it may be time to put yourself first for a change. It doesn’t have to be costly or time-consuming, but taking care of yourself is critical if you want to maintain a sense of sanity.

The best way to relieve stress is to chuck your to-do list and check out for a while. Focus on your needs, from wake-up to lights-out, until you are refreshed, emotionally recharged, and ready to dive back in. If you can’t do that, at least take an hour or two for some self-care.

Spa Day
Picture a calm, tranquil environment. Soft, harmonious music is playing through discrete speakers. Flickering candles light the space with a romantic glow, emitting such a delightfully fragrant smell that you’re tempted to linger a bit longer. If you can, escape for a few hours, or the full day, for some professional pampering.

Scope out your neighborhood for a gourmet chocolate shop and treat yourself to three (or four or five) luscious truffles. Make sure you eat them slowly, savoring the flavors; make the experience last. If you’re not into chocolate, try a glass of wine, your favorite meal or a new restaurant that is on your wish list.

Soak in a Hot Tub
What could be more relaxing than submerging yourself in a warm bubble bath and escaping into a good book? Add some essential oils (lavender, chamomile and mint are especially lovely), dim the lights, light a candle, close your eyes, and give yourself a full hour to unwind.

Relax with Meditation
Pamper yourself every day through meditation. Meditation helps you relax, and it also has a number of other health benefits. It can reduce anxiety, depression and stress and help build self-confidence. For some quick peace of mind, pause in your day and focus on your breathing.

Buy yourself a fresh bouquet of flowers to display in your home. It’s a little way to treat yourself while also adding color to your surroundings. Take a literal moment each day to stop and smell the roses in your life and connect to nature.

You’ve probably experienced a little shop therapy every now and then, but one thing that often gets neglected, which can make you feel feminine and confident. is new underthings. Toss out all your raggedy, stretched-out underwear and get some sexy new ones for an instant mood boost.

Power Nap
If you need a quick recharge, don’t rely on caffeine or other stimulants. Take a quick nap to restore your mental alertness and combat fatigue. You can get incredible benefits from 15 to 20 minutes of napping. A quick siesta is better than a cup of Joe and will stave on any crankiness.

For true pampering, as much of your day as possible should be an escape from the regular routine of your life. Consider finding ways to get outside to enjoy the escape that nature can offer. Exercise and fresh air can help rejuvenate you, and can provide you with a chance to reflect.

While gift giving can be a blast, holiday shopping in the midst of other seasonal activities can take a toll on your sanity, and your wallet. Don’t let shopping cloud the magic of the holiday season. Do it early and beat the last minute madness! By getting it out of the way early your holiday season will be a little—or a lot—less stressful. And as a bonus, you will miss those crowded stores, long lines and grouchy shoppers.

Shopping early can also be beneficial in keeping a budget, since it allows you to spread out the expense of buying presents throughout the year. Plus, you won’t have to scramble to get things delivered by Christmas, which lets you take advantage of free shipping offers. Before you get started, here a few tips to stay on-track.

Know who you are buying gifts for. That’s right, make a list and check it twice (sound familiar?). Whether you are someone who shops only for family, or your gift giving extends to neighbors and co-workers, know who you have to buy for before you start your shopping.

Set a budget. If you are finding good deals you may be tempted to keep swiping that credit card. A good rule of thumb is to put some budget parameters together before you start so you don’t overspend and end up in holiday debt.

Decide on what sort of gift matches each person on your list. This is the fun part where you get to brainstorm. Give yourself the flexibility to pivot as necessary, but having something in mind will keep you from giving mindless tchotchkes and can give you direction on which sites to shop first.

Have a schedule. Similar to having a budget, give yourself a cutoff date so you can focus the last few weeks on enjoying the season. Whenever you’re out and about, always check the clearance rack. By constantly looking for a deal, you’ll run across gifts for the loved ones in your life.
